You may be starting to think about returning to the gym post lockdown but are worried about going back.
If you are just returning after a break or you have recovered from Covid or any illness it is important to have a slow return to exercise.
If you are just starting out on your fitness journey it can be intimidating to go into the gym to begin with. You may feel that everyone is watching and judging you.
I can promise you that everyone starting out has felt the same way.
If you have recovered from Covid or any illness, monitor your breathing rate to ensure you do not overexert yourself. This is especially the case if Covid has impacted on your breathing. You are likely to have lost strength in your muscles, therefore picking lower weights and building up is the best way to work on (re-)gaining your strength.
If you would like support in returning to the gym, ask your local gym instructor or personal trainer who will ensure the workouts are safe whilst being challenging.
I have completed a course in Covid rehabilitation so if you are concerned about returning to the gym, or if you would like to start building up your confidence working out at home feel free to contact me for a no obligation chat.

Please be prepared for the weather e.g. bringing water, wearing sun cream and appropriate clothing (coats and footwear).
I will advise if any specific footwear is required for example if the route is likely to be muddy, wearing old trainers or wellies.
I look forward to meeting you on the walks.
